Just as the interior architecture juxtaposes wood walls with painted white walls, the selected artworks vacillate between vibrant bursts of color and quiet, minimal places to rest the eye.
This multi-level residence has primary locations for art on the landings of the central staircase. As you move up the stairs from the second floor to the third (top) floor—the main living area—you view an Ellsworth Kelly sunflower print and Sam Gilliam painting on paper, with a wall sculpture by Leonardo Drew, and a “drum” painting by Jeffrey Gibson.
The stairwell opens up to a beautiful double height space on the top floor.
